Devise
Simplifying Event Access with Wearable Technology

Devise is part of my product design degree and marked a significant learning experience. The focus was on creating an app that works alongside a wearable product, simplifying event entry and exit.
My idea was an app that helps users stay engaged with entertainment events. They can buy tickets, keep track of upcoming events, and even link those tickets to a wearable product. This wearable holds the tickets digitally, making it effortless for users to enter and leave event areas.

Progress.

The core idea revolved around a charming piece of jewelry embedded with an NFC chip. This charm serves as a digital holder for tickets to concerts, theaters, and festivals. The challenge was to build an app that complements this wearable. I outlined the app's functionalities, got feedback from my professors, and fine-tuned the concept.
I recognized the need for a platform where tickets could be sold and users could share their thoughts on events. I also figured out that the wearable needed to be paired with the app to make ticket management easy. To develop this idea, I studied apps that link devices and handle ticket sales. I defined my target audience and created designs tailored to their preferences and needs.

Throughout the process, I simultaneously learned Figma while shaping my designs. Although I was still grasping the ins and outs of UI rules, this project was invaluable. It taught me about user-centered design and the significance of user feedback.

In essence, this project is a testament to my journey of learning and growth in the realm of design. It highlights how I tackled challenges, learned new tools, and made thoughtful design choices while keeping the user experience at the forefront.
